Lift schools exist to unlock success for every child.
We attract dynamic people and we back them to reimagine what’s possible
We work with others beyond our own schools to make generational change.
Every child has immeasurable potential. It is our job to help realise it.
We believe every child deserves the best education possible, regardless of background, geography or ability. We want to see them fulfil their potential – at school and beyond.
Who is Lift Schools?
Our trust is made up of 57 primary, secondary and special schools, educating more than 33,000 pupils across the country – from Middlesbrough in the north to Devon in the west, Essex in the east and the Isle of Wight in the south. The majority of our schools are rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
We are always striving to improve – and our results show our commitment to excellence.
But there is more to education than results – just as there is more to any child than their performance in an exam. We want to nurture the whole child, fostering their talents and strengths.
We also want our schools to be fun places – somewhere our pupils are happy to arrive every morning, and somewhere they leave each afternoon filled with ideas and enthusiasm. We want our enjoyment of learning to be infectious.
And we want school to be a place of adventure and discovery, where children can explore, challenge themselves, fail safely, succeed proudly and – most importantly – learn.
Our six Lift Maxims define the ethos of all our schools. Each individual school adapts the maxims to suit its own character – we want our schools to reflect the communities they serve.
Our maxims are:
