We especially are thrilled that our learners’ ‘behaviours and attitudes’ were recognised as ‘outstanding’, with the inspection team commenting on how the apprentices ‘adopt positive behaviours in the workplace and lessons’, ‘quickly become competent’, feel ‘valued and respected as colleagues’ and are ‘quickly able to apply what they have learned in the workplace’.
Our apprenticeship programmes use the deep expertise and specialisms harnessed from across our network of 57 schools. The Ofsted inspection, which was carried out in May 2024, also found that our trainers create ‘calm, respectful and very welcoming learning environments’, are ‘knowledgeable’ and ‘skilled practitioners’ with a broad range of teaching experience’.
As demonstrated by the outcome of this inspection, our in-house apprenticeship offer keeps strengthening, especially with the new initial teaching assistant training programme and exciting new coaching professional programme. The offer has been designed to empower our staff to pursue their career goals, support sustainable careers in education, improve staff retention and ultimately, to ensure that the pupils in our partner schools get the most out of their education.
Joe Guy, chief talent officer at Lift Schools, said:
‘We are thrilled by this result, which stands as a strong endorsement of the quality of our apprenticeship provision. We’re really pleased that our staff’s passion and commitment shone through during the inspection, as this is something I hear constantly when talking to our learners and line managers. Our goal is always to provide the best possible outcomes to the children and communities we serve and we're excited to build on this excellent result in the coming years.’
Paul Bridge, associate director of apprenticeships at Lift Schools, said:
'I'm delighted that the inspection team recognised the immediate impact that our apprentices make in the workplace and just how skilled and knowledgeable our Trainers are as practitioners. Having 'Behaviours and Attitudes' rated as ‘outstanding’ acknowledges the fantastic learning environments created by our employers and all our staff.'
